What does 52 mean in glasses?
Answer: They’re size measurements in millimeters.
They’re measurements. The first number (e.g. 52), is the width of the lenses. The second number (e.g. 20) is the distance between the lenses. And the third number (e.g. 135) is the complete length of the temple arm, which includes the portion that goes behind your ear.

What’s the difference between 52 and 54 glasses?
Lens width is measured from left to right at the widest point in the lens. Between a 52 and 54 eyesize, the 54 will have a wider lens so the whole frame will be wider too. The lens will also be a little taller to preserve the shape. The bridge and temple measurements will usually remain the same.
What do the 3 numbers mean on glasses?

What does 51mm mean in glasses?
The letters represent the type of frame HR for Half-Rim, FR for Full-Rim or NHHR for Non-Hinged Half-Rim. The first two numbers represent the width of the lens (51 means a lens width of 51 mm.)

What do glasses sizes mean?
The numbers beneath the frames reflect the SIZE MEASUREMENTS in millimeters (mm). THE FIRST NUMBER (ex.54) = the width of the lenses. THE SECOND NUMBER (ex.15) = the distance between the lenses. THE THIRD NUMBER (ex.140) = the length of the temple arm including the portion going behind the ear.
