What is the native ISO of the red helium?
140
Since the Helium’s native ISO tests out at 140 (higher than that of the Sony A7R II), we adjusted the Sony results to simulate an ISO of 140. The chart shows that the Helium blows away the Sony by a surprising margin – especially since the Sony has a larger sensor.

How does RED ISO work?
With RED, the original signal remains unamplified before being saved as a RAW file. The idea is to record as much as possible from the sensor, and to maximize flexibility for adjusting exposure in post production.ISO only affects how the RAW data is interpreted.
What is the native ISO for Red Komodo?
Frame Rates and ISO
The KOMODO produces a nicely noise free image at ISO 800, and it can reach an ISO of 12,800, but at that high an ISO, the image is, in my opinion, fairly noisy.
What is Flut in red camera?
Floating Point Lookup Table (FLUT) is an exposure control exclusive to RED. FLUT works like a traditional ISO setting, but can be fine-tuned in post production to any level of exposure precision. FLUT automatically protects highlights and shadows, even when changed substantially.
Is Red Komodo full frame?
The RED Komodo 6K is not a Full-Frame, or Large Format, camera but the sensor is larger than Kodak’s Super 35mm 3-Perf film.
What is the base ISO of the Sony Venice camera?
500
VENICE has a base ISO of 500 to provide the optimal dynamic range for typical cinematography applications with on-set lighting. A secondary High Base ISO of 2500 excels in low-light High Dynamic Range capture, with an exposure latitude from 6 stops over to 9 stops under 18% Middle Gray, for a total of 15 stops.

How heavy is RED Gemini?
around 7.5 pounds
The standardized camera body weighs around 7.5 pounds (depending on battery), supports wide input voltage (11.5V to 32V), and boasts more independent SDI and AUX power outputs as well as an integrated XLR audio input. It also has a larger fan for quieter and more efficient temperature management.
Can RED Shoot ProRes?
We typically record at an 8:1 compression ratio to keep file sizes reasonable, but RED can shoot REDCODE Raw and QuickTime ProRes 4444HQ in 4K too if desired.
Is RED Komodo a DSMC2?
The Red Dragon-X might be in a new DSMC2 body, but its sensor is legendary. A few weeks ago Red officially announced an upgrade that unleashes the full 6K potential of this camera. But…Red is also releasing the Red Komodo, a 6K Super 35mm beast at a much lower price point.
Does Red Komodo have false color?
Red cameras see ISO more as what they refer to as a ‘floating LUT’ or ‘FLUT’. Adjusting the ISO on the Komodo is visible on the histogram, but you’ll notice the goal posts and exposure false color are unaffected because the light hitting the sensor remains the same.
Does Red Komodo have HDR?
RED’s DSMC2 cameras capture best-in-class dynamic range to support HDR delivery without any additional settings or unique hardware needed.
Does the Red Komodo shoot ProRes?
The format can be broken down into two key options – R3D, or RED RAW files, and ProRes. Resolution seems very straightforward, but you need to know that the KOMODO will actually crop in on the sensor if you choose a lower resolution if you are shooting R3D.
Is Komodo an IPP2?
This section describes the color pipeline in the film, “MARTIAL ARTS TOKYO: SHOT ON KOMODO”, from shooting to display. For this film, we chose to use IPP2 (Image Processing Pipeline), which has been implemented in RED since 2017.
Is Netflix Red Komodo approved?

What is dual native ISO Sony?
What is Dual Native ISO? Dual-Native ISO technology is a unique way of exploiting a camera’s sensor information to extend its dynamic range, and reduce the level of signal noise that is produced. The sensor will therefore be able to read two native ISOs on the sensor instead of one.
What is dual ISO?
When a camera has dual native ISO, it means that there are two amplifiers that the signal can travel through. Two amplifiers where the signal in one is boosted much more than the other. For this reason, dual native ISO is almost a misnomer, as it’s really more of a dual gain system.
What is base ISO?
The Base ISO is the lowest of the Native ISO options. Where this can become especially confusing is when you hear the terms Dual Base ISO and Dual Native ISO, and companies seem to use these terms interchangeably.
