Where should I place my SimpliSafe camera?
The most obvious places to install a SimpliCam are near your main entrance and back entrance. And, while we would recommend covering these areas, it’s also a good idea to think outside the box.
How far does SimpliSafe camera detect motion?

Your camera’s motion detection range is 90 degrees left to right and downward, as well as straight out. This range cannot be changed. There is also a notification “quiet period” set up by default. This means you should only be receiving a push notification every five minutes, per location.
Can other cameras work with SimpliSafe?
Are there other cameras compatible with SimpliSafe? No. SimpliSafe makes its own cameras and equipment, so the system only works with other SimpliSafe devices for now.
