What do you spray on waders?
While waders are damp, spray the exterior with Revivex Durable Water Repellent. Use a warm iron to activate water repellent treatment—avoid ironing neoprene booties or rubber components. You can also air dry the waders, but please allow 48 hours for the repellent to set in before use.
Why do my waders leak?
If the waders are too tight they will strain when you walk, climb, or kneel, bend or sit down. None of this takes time. So if you buy waders that are too small, and sit down in them at lunch time, then they will leak in the afternoon.
How do you seal neoprene seams?
You can use wetsuit repair glue, or neoprene glue, to glue neoprene panels together. Neoprene glue is flexible and remains waterproof. Wetsuit glue is affordable and it’s available in most surf shops or available online. Don’t use any other type of glue to repair a wetsuit cut.
Can you use silicone to repair waders?
Registered. I have always just used clear silicone caulk to repair my neoprene waders. When the seams start to leak I turn them inside out and put a thin layer on and let it dry.
Is Flex Seal safe for neoprene?
No. It has no inherent strength.

Can you use Nikwax on waders?
Wash your waders by hand
Hang dry until completely dry and then if desired use some DWR spray reviver on them. Nikwax and GearAid (maker of Aquaseal) make spray on DWR reviving applications for use after cleaning. The GearAid ReviveX is a good product that does a great job of reinvigorating DWR coatings.
Can you waterproof neoprene waders?
