How does ring run on cellular?
When your internet goes down, your Ring Alarm will automatically switch over to cellular backup. You may have limited app functionality while your Base Station is on cellular backup, but you can still arm and disarm your Ring Alarm. If you have professional monitoring, cellular backup will ensure the signal get out.
Can ring run on cellular only?

Does Ring have cellular camera?
Unfortunately no, Ring does not allow you to have a cellular backup on your doorbells and cameras. If your internet or Wi-Fi goes out, they will not be able to operate without an internet connection and there is no option to replace said connection with a cellular backup.
How do you power cycle a Ring base station?
Always shut down the router first and reboot the router before the Base Station.
- Unplug the router and also remove the cable connection.
- Reset the Ring Base Station.
- Once the Base Station is reset, unplug it.
- After five minutes, reconnect the cable to the back of the router and plug it back in.
