Do Curtain Poles need a wooden batten?
Usually no need for battens if you have a skilled curtain fitter using the correct fittings and a quality pole, even with heavy weight fabric and interlining.
Can you put a curtain pole on a batten?
Here I show you how you can hang curtains without drilling holes by fixing a curtain pole to a wooden batten. The batten is first glued using Sticks-Like-Sh*t, then the pole is attached to that.
