This could be listed as either W/m or A/m, or simply W or A. The LED strip lists the total wattage as 24 Watts, or 4.8 Watts per meter. This checks out, because there are 5 meters per reel, and 4.8 Watts/meter * 5 meters = 24 Watts.
How much power does a 5m LED strip use?
Considering how power is measured in Watts per meter, that tells you that the more meters to a strip, the more Watts it needs to work. A 1.3W/m strip uses 6.5 Watts for a 5-meter strip but 13 Watts for a 10-meter version.

The LED strip has a power consumption of 14W / m. 14 x 8.5 = 119 Watts in total. So you need a LED power supply (sometimes referred to as a LED driver) that can deliver at least 119 Watts. However, it is recommended that you make allowances for unintentional overloads.

LED Strip isn’t available in continuous lengths greater than 5m, because when run any further continuously it won’t work. The small gauge wires wouldn’t be able to cope with the power demands. This is because the ring main will power your LED strip from both ends; it’s just as if you are powering 2 x 5m lengths independently.
