What kind of paint do you use for fishing jigs?
Fluorescent powder paint is a tough chip resistant finish that makes it easy to paint jig heads, spoons and spinner blades. Simply heat fishing lures to 325° in toaster oven and dip them into the powder paint. Great one coat coverage.
Can you paint jig heads with acrylic paint?
It might work. Not much impact on small ice jigs, so almost any paint should hold up fairly well. My concern would be the waterbased paint. Most air dried w/b acrylics are fine with a good amount of water exposure, but will eventually cloud up from the water penetration.
How do you get powder paint off a jig head?

Yes you can. Cheek out this link. I paint my weedguard heads with vinyl paint, 2 coats white,2 coats top color, and 2 coats clear coat ( revlon 950 ). If the jigs are not weedguarded, then I powder paint them and then bake them to get a hard finish.
