The Shared User can accept the invitation via a link in their email. It can take up to 60 seconds for shared devices to show up in the app after the Shared User accepts the invitation. For Ring Alarm system Shared User invitations, it may take up to 15 minutes for the devices to appear in their Ring app.
Ring Shared User Not Seeing Ring Devices: Troubleshooting
If the shared user cannot see the device, they may need to uninstall the app and reinstall it. Reset the Ring Device Sometimes, the device will also need to be reset for the new user to be registered.
How do I add guest to Ring?
To create a new Guest User:
- Open the Ring app and tap on the Menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Users.
- Tap the + (plus sign) to add a new user. Then select Add Guest User.
- Enter your Guest User’s name and create an access code. Then tap Save.
- You’ll be asked if you’d like to add a schedule for their Alarm access.
When you’re invited to become a Shared User on a Ring account, you will need to create your own Ring account with your email and password (the email you use should be the email that received the invite). After that, to log in, all a Shared User has to do is open up the Ring app and enter their new credentials.
Sharing
- Log into your Ring account at ring.com/account. Use the same username and password that you use for the Ring App.
- Select the History tab.
- Click on the video you want to share.
- Click the arrow icon on the bottom right of the video for Share options. Follow the prompts to share a video.
Shared Users can receive emails and push notifications triggered by your Ring Alarm. Each app user can adjust these settings based on their preferences using their own app. Any changes will not impact other Shared Users or the Owner. Alarming alerts cannot be turned off.
There is no limit to how many people or devices can have access to your Ring account. There are only two options when it comes to connecting more phones, and that is by using the Shared Users feature or by simply giving someone your account information.
Can you have two owners on Ring?
Yes a Ring Doorbell can be connected to more than one phone! You can connect to multiple phones either by sharing access from a single account to other people, or by having multiple users log into a single account from different phones.
They are the videos recorded and saved by your Ring devices that are only accessible to you and to the Shared Users on your account. No one except you and your Shared Users can view or access your private videos.

- Launch your Ring app.
- Select the desired Ring device.

Can shared users delete ring videos? The shared user feature in your Ring app allows you to add another person, who can access your videos when sharing with them, but they cannot delete any of the videos that have been recorded.
How do you activate a ring?
On your mobile device, go to the App Store (for iOS devices) or the Play Store (for Android devices) Search for Ring Download and install the Ring app on your mobile device.
