What does red light on SimpliSafe base station mean?
A solid red light usually indicates that your Base Station’s cellular module is not connected correctly. Your system is experiencing an error (loss of power, sensor failure, etc.) Your Keypad will contain a more detailed explanation of the error in this scenario.
There are two duress features of the SimpliSafe system: Silent Mode for the Panic Button and the duress PIN. These features are very important and life-saving. It’s important to take time to set up these features, hoping you’ll never have to use them.
The Keypad is used to arm and disarm your system. Also, in case of an emergency Keypads have a red panic button, which will trigger the alarm if you press and hold it for more than two seconds. Customers can change their system and device settings through their Keypad’s menu as well.
