No, the v3 works alone.
Wyze Cam v3 is a wired camera that connects to your WiFi network directly, similar to almost all Wyze devices, including the Wyze Cam v2 and Pan. You do not need a base station to use it.
Does WYZE plug need WiFi?
Yes, it will still work without WiFi. You will not be able to control the plug remotely using the Wyze app but you can still turn things on/off manually with the physical on/off button on the side of the Wyze Plug.

What does Wyze Hub do?
Wyze Sense Hub connects all sensors to the Wyze app and has a built-in siren to ward off would-be intruders. Placed in a central location of the home, Wyze Sense Hub can connect to the internet via WiFi or ethernet and has battery backup should it lose power.
Why does my WYZE plug keep going offline?
First, ensure that the outlet or fixture that the Wyze Plug is plugged into isn’t controlled by a switch (such as a light switch or power strip.) If so, make sure it is turned on. Next, try and power-cycle the Plug by removing it from the outlet, waiting at least 5 seconds, and then plugging it back in.
Does WYZE plug work with HomeKit?
The Wyze Plug also isn’t compatible with Apple HomeKit; if that’s important to you, check out the Wemo WiFi Smart Plug.
