Is Philips Hue hub Zigbee?

Does Aqara work in Australia?
Yes it fits, I have one. The pins aren’t insulated so it’s not compliant from a standards point of view. But it works fine. They use the same plugs in China as Australia but they’re upside down, although I don’t think that matters if you’re ok with the hub button and Aqara logo being upside down.

Is Zigbee better than Z Wave?
ZigBee operates at 2.4 GHz compared to the 908 MHz of Z-Wave. The higher frequency allows ZigBee to transmit more data but reduces the range of the signal. The lower range is reduced even more when there are obstacles.A Z-Wave signal between two nodes can travel up to 330 feet in an outdoor, unobstructed setting.
Is Zigbee and Z-Wave the same?
Both types use different radio frequencies. Zigbee uses a 2.4 GHz frequency or a 915 MHz frequency, and Z-Wave uses a frequency of 908.42 MHz. A device that uses Zigbee won’t be able to communicate with a device that uses Z-Wave and vice versa.
Does Zigbee work with Z-Wave?
Firstly, it is perfectly possible to use both Zigbee and Z-Wave devices in your smart home. A decent spread of devices will work with both protocols, even if they don’t communicate directly.
Is Hue hub Z-Wave?

How many sub-devices can the hub support? The maximum number is 128 (including at least 8 neutral strong electronic devices such as the Aqara Smart Plug or Aqara Smart Wall Switch (With Neutral). Without neutral strong electronic devices, the maximum number of connected sub-devices can only be 32.

If you’ve been eyeing up one or two Aqara sensors and switches, you’re going to need a hub if you want to hook them up with HomeKit. The Hub M2 is the best choice if you want a non-descript box that can be hidden away and doesn’t take up a whole power outlet, thanks to its USB power cable.
