Can you mix and match fire alarms?
Yes. You can replace a smoke detector with a combination smoke/CO unit. All modern First Alert and BRK alarms use the same wire harness and connector.For example, if you have 5 smoke detectors interconnected with one combo unit, only the combo smoke/CO unit will sound the CO alarm.
Does Ring connect to fire department?
If your Ring Alarm is connected to your Alexa Guard, you will have the option to send the signal to Ring Alarm which will request police or fire department dispatch, and sound the alarm.
Is Ring Z-Wave compatible?

Yes, Ring Alarm can also trigger fire and carbon monoxide alarms but only if you’ve installed a FirstAlert Z-Wave Smoke/CO Alarm. As a part of Ring Alarm Professional Monitoring, if your alarm is triggered due to fire or carbon monoxide detection, fire rescue will be immediately dispatched.
Does Arlo and Ring work together?
You can actually use Arlo camera and Ring together by connecting it to Ring, and hundreds of other apps and devices, with IFTTT. Both Ring and Arlo work with IFTTT recipes.Aside from IFTTT, you can also use the SmartThings app and other smart home platforms to bridge the two.

Why is my ring smoke alarm beeping?
As the battery in a smoke alarm becomes weak, the smoke alarm will “chirp” about once a minute to alert you that the battery needs to be replaced. Note: Only the alarm with a low battery will chirp. No signal is sent through the interconnect wire. The other alarms will be silent.
