A trigger is an event that starts a Zap. Once you’ve set up a Zap, Zapier will monitor for that trigger event.

How do you manually trigger a zap?

Why are some zaps instant?
Some apps on Zapier trigger instantly.When you’re browsing an app’s page on the Zapier website, you’ll notice some triggers are marked as “Instant”. This means exactly what you think. As soon as something happens in the app you’re connecting to, Zapier will know about it and trigger your zap.
How long does it take for ZAP to trigger?
It can therefore take up to 15 minutes for a Zap to be triggered after the trigger event happens. Triggers labeled Instant will always trigger Zaps immediately (regardless of pricing plan) as the trigger app pushes the data to Zapier when the event happens.
Can you force a zap to run?
If you want your Zap to run at a specific time, you can set up a scheduled trigger. Alternatively, if you want your actions to run after a certain period of time, rather than instantly, you can add a delay to your Zap.

How often do Zapiers run?
Typically, Zaps only run when a trigger event occurs in an app. With schedule triggers, you can choose to run your Zap every month, week, day, or hour. For example, you might want to add a new task to your task management app at the start of every week to set your weekly goals.
Why can’t I turn on my Zap?
If the app accounts used on your Zap aren’t connected, the Zap won’t turn on. You can check if there are app account connection issues from your editor by selecting the app and event, then selecting the app you want to use. If the app is disconnected, you’ll see a message and you can reconnect it accordingly.
